While DJI Mavic Pro drone has achieved a maximum speed of 45 miles per hour the new drone named DRL RacerX has got incredible 179.6mph of speed leaving the previous holder in the dust.
A group of a research team has built this drone to show the possibilities of fastest drones in upcoming future. The DRL RacerX has a quad rotating blade to get to such amazing speed. Already this flying object has booked Guinness World Record for the super fast battery powered quadcopter.
This little toy weighs 800 grams and carries two 1,300mAh batteries that rotate blade at 46,000RPM speed. You can see the video below:
“We’re thrilled to put our proprietary technology to the test, as we’re all about speed and pushing the limits of drone design here at DRL,” said Nicholas Horbaczewski, DRL CEO/Founder.
The racer drone is not a subtle invention, it’s the result of more than one year’s hard working. Earlier also there was an attempt to test this drone in extreme speed but ended up with fire.
