SpaceX to start sending customers onto Moon in 2018

SpaceX a rocket company currently serving as Space Transportation is also known for its ambitious space mission. The company announced it is working on the rocket technology to establish a human colony on Mars. But, the company has revealed its hilarious plan to its list; it is going to visit human around the Moon in 2018.

        Anybody, interested customer can travel and It will be SpaceX’s  ”Space Tourism Business”. The company has already allocated cost for the upcoming human mission around Moon. The company CEO Elon Musk said this trip will take about One week.

       For the first trip, two candidates will place on top of the Falcon Heavy Rocket that is the sophisticated version of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket which intended to fly for the first time this summer. And the travelers will put inside the Dragon Capsule, a modified version of Dragon Cargo Capsule that is being used to send satellite and equipment into Space.

        Apparently, the spaceship will just carry people near the moon and Crew Dragon will go a bit out deep space, and return to earth. In average the ship will travel between 300,000 to 400,000 miles with autonomous functions. However, if there is an emergency crew member can override its functions to control the vehicle. The vehicle will land on earth’s surface like SpaceX’s boosters lands.

          Right Now, NASA is building different kinds of rocket the SLS the rocket system and crew capsule called Orion. Together, this rocket will carry astronauts into further deep Space and probably onto Mars.

        Hence, SLS hasn’t flown yet but the plan is to fly rocket without crew member in late 2018. Recently, NASA also said it might put people on the first flight of SLS. The Orion can carry two people at once and will be around eight or nine-day mission.

            So, with SpaceX’s moon mission announcement, the Elon Musk seems to have created a bit of a space race between public and private sector. The company has sent a message to NASA that it can do the same things but little faster.

     If the trip is successful, it will be a big source of revenue for SpaceX as private Moon vacations service provider.  The Elon Musk said SpaceX will execute two to three trip a year and mission could account for 10 to 20 percent of SpaceX’s revenue.

     Right now, NASA pays between $70 to $80 million to send just one astronaut to the International Space Station on a Russian Soyuz rocket.
