Both notebooks are the fresh product of 2020 however, MacBook air is produced by Apple Inc. America and Huawei MateBook X Pro is designed and produced by Huawei Co. LTD China.
We all know about MacBook laptops but Huawei has entered on computer market in recent years, however, the products of Huawei are also robust, cheap and trustable. The new Huawei MateBook X Pro looks similar to the Apple MacBook Air having features that directly compete with Air.
Design
Both MacBook Air 2020 and MateBook X Pro 2020 look similar but in terms of thickness of these laptops here, Huawei MateBook X Pro wins because this laptop is just 14.6 mm thin, versus, Apple MacBook Air is 17mm thin.
MacBook Air 2020 has a 13.3-inch true tone display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, in another hand, Huawei MateBook X Pro has a 13.9-inch display with a resolution of 3000 x 2000 with 260 PPI, in terms of resolution and dpi of display Huawei is plus 33 dpi ahead. While Apple’s true tone display does outstanding performance, in this sense, both laptops display are better but Apple wins because of its colorful accurate display.
Processor
Both laptops have base processor core i5 with an option of a turbo boost. And if you want to buy core i7 variants that are also available. But in terms of an operating system, Huawei MateBook X Pro runs on Microsoft Windows 10, but Apple has its own MC OS. So, in terms of performance, Apple is ahead, but in terms of versatile functionality, Huawei MateBook X Pro is better because there are more software and a good interface you can find on Windows 10. Here, in terms of power, Huawei MateBook wins.
Battery
Huawei MateBook X Pro gives you 15 hours of regular working battery life and 11 hours web browsing, 13 hours local video playback option. In another hand, Apple MacBook Air gives you the same 11 hours web surf, 12 hours apple tv play which is slightly better because to play video through the web, more batter is needed which apple MacBook Air can manage well. In terms of power, we can say its equal because both have good battery life. If I have to give a star, I would give it to Apple MacBook Air.
Weight
Huawei MateBook X Pro is 1.33 kg, however, Apple MacBook air is a little lighter to 1.29kg, so here Apple MacBook wins clearly in terms of lightweight.
Price
MacBook Air base price is US$999 and Huawei MateBook X Pro base price is around US$1600, so the MateBook X Pro is expensive than the Air.
