Samsung has already introduced a new Bluetooth AirPods a couple of months ago before Apple launched its AirPods. So, let’s discuss the difference between these two wireless AirPods.
Apple AirPods:

The new AirPods has an ability to recognize the voice direction, so the device focuses on that direction canceling other unnecessary noises. Apple AirPods comes with the onboard battery carrying case which gives 24 hours of listening and on a single charge Apple AirPods gives 5 hours of listening to music.
The new AirPods has an Apple’s W1 chip that helps to produce high quality of Audio sound, and the device works with Tapping if you tap twice it brings SIRI then you can command with your voice. The AirPods has an infrared sensor which senses whether you have connected AirPods in your ear or not. If you have connected your AirPods in your ear, infrared sensor plays music, if you haven’t connected then it stops playing music. That saves the battery of your device.
Samsung Gear Icon X
Samsung Gear Icon X wireless EarBuds has an impressive design in contrast with Apple AirPods. Gear Icon X comes in various color choices. The Gear Icon X also comes in a pair which gives stereo sound and the case itself a battery charger that charges the battery of EarBuds. Samsung Gear Icon X offers 3 hours of listening to music. However the device packs more stuff inside it, the tiny Gear Icon X EarBuds has 4GB of internal memory. You can put your favorite song and listen to it without the need of any smartphone. And it has an accelerometer and heart rate monitor too. The heart-rate monitor also shares data with your Samsung smartphone.
On the back surface of Samsung Gear Icon X, there is a touch-sensitive surface. You can control music with just taping the back of the EarBuds and to control the volume you need to swipe the surface. The Gear Icon X EarBuds is better for a sports person who does the daily workout, and they can track progress too.
Apple AirPods vs. Samsung Gear Icon X advantage and disadvantages:
– Apple AirPods has something missing in its design. The earphone doesn’t look premium comparing with Samsung’s Gear Icon X which fits in the ear.
– Apple AirPods is cheaper than Samsung Gear Icon X. Apple AirPods cost only $159 however, Samsung Gear Icon X has a price tag of $199
– Apple AirPods are available in only one color that is white, while Samsung Gear Icon X has various colors to choose from White, Black, and Blue.
– Samsung Gear Icon X is little easier to control with tap and swipe features while Apple AirPods also has tap features but we need SIRI to control most of the functions.
– Apple AirPods doesn’t have a heart-rate monitor, but Samsung Gear Icon X do.
